Why I do it

I’ve always been passionate about the environment so after studying Environmental Science at University, I spent 18 years working in construction delivering and championing off-site, sustainable solutions that ensured a significant reduction in the impact on the environment and the surrounding community.  I then had the opportunity to manage an SME that designed and manufactured products which helped plant breeders and seed producers develop more sustainable varieties of plants/crops and for 5 years I was able to travel to meet customers and colleagues worldwide, learning about the huge amount of research that goes into creating sustainable plants to feed our growing population.

Working at Trustgreen has therefore enabled me to combine my knowledge of construction with my passion for the environment and plants, and it’s an absolute pleasure to work with a business that cares so much about biodiversity, it’s people and the communities it works in.

Why I do it

Having spent a large amount of my working career focussing on the management of residential and commercial developments, I love the variety that my every day work brings to enable me to improve the environments that we work in and that our residents live in. Mixing these skills with my passion for the environment and nature, my role at Trustgreen allows me to do what I love within a team who strive to achieve the best results for those who trust in us to look after their communities. I particularly love learning more about biodiversity and how we can better the areas that we live in for both ourselves, local wildlife, and our future generations to come.

Why I do it

Having worked for the majority of my career in the construction industry in Project and Operations Management roles, when the opportunity to work for Trustgreen arose I jumped at the chance to challenge myself in a new industry. Not only does this motivate me professionally; but to work for a company that has the wellbeing of the environment and staff at the top of the priority list is greatly fulfilling on a personal level. There is never a dull day in Estates Management, and every site has its own unique challenges and rewards that keeps me on my toes and inspires me to continuously improve and provide excellent service delivery at every level.

Why I do it

Having graduated with a BA in Fashion Design, I hadn’t planned on pursuing a career in marketing! Now with over 8+ years working as a marketer, I can’t imagine doing anything else. I love the challenge and variety that my role affords me.

Working at Trustgreen is a pleasure and I feel lucky to be a part of such a great team that is focused on doing the right thing. Jon and Richard have created a culture of care which sets Trustgreen apart from any other company I have worked for before. My colleagues are passionate about what they do and are very supportive of each other. I feel very grateful to be part of such an amazing team.

Why I do it

I believe the main reason for doing any job is to be passionate about what you are trying to accomplish.  This not only sets me on the path toward success, but it also ensures I am doing the right thing by me and my family and continually challenges me to be better.

As a Dad, it is fundamentally important to me to be a role model for my young sons and discussing biodiversity, tree planting, wildflower meadows, even litter picking at the dinner table shows my boys I am passionate about my job, that it’s meaningful to me and the communities & businesses we support. I am proud of the purpose we have for our future.

Why I do it

I have spent my working career in Customer Focused roles and I’m passionate about improving customer service through continuously service improvements. Putting yourself in the persons shoes and taking the time to understand the issue is something I always have in mind. It’s extremely important to me that I am happy in my role and that my colleagues are too. I pride myself on being a role model who can inspire and motivate  others which in turn contributes to creating a great working environment. I love the diversity in the role I do and I also get to meet some amazing people along the way!

Why I do it

When I was offered a role at Trustgreen I jumped at the opportunity; the values, ethos and vision of the senior leaders were inspiring. After teaching for 25 years, moving into the industry took me out of my comfort zone in a good way.

I love the daily variety, I could be visiting a site in Cumbria with incredible views, meeting a client in a busy city centre or attending a conference on biodiversity. Every day is a school day, there is so much knowledge to soak up. The rewards are many and varied too; forming long lasting positive and supportive relationships with clients makes work a pleasure.

We have a superb team spirit here and the opportunity to learn every day from fellow professionals and pass on this knowledge to the next generation is a privilege.

Why I do it

Many moons ago I set off for university to read environmental studies. I had no idea what I ‘wanted to be’ but I knew that my passions lay in the natural world and that my vocation lay in that sector in some shape or form.

Fast forward 20 years and I have been fortunate enough to have built my career around protecting and enhancing the environment in a number of sectors.

What I didn’t envisage at the start of my journey is how much I would also enjoy the concept of corporate continual improvement and trying to make businesses and their people better than they were before. When you add in helping to grow communities through the open spaces on their doorsteps you have a role that not only has real purpose but is a privilege to hold.
