Our commitment to ESG

As an organisation honesty, integrity and compassion are at the heart of everything we do. We aim to do the right thing. Always.
We are guided and driven by creating a positive, long-lasting impact regionally and nationally on the environment. Sustainability is crucial to how we operate as a business and we are committed to accelerating the necessary changes to do the right thing for our people, stakeholders and the developments we manage.

We view sustainability as a spectrum – not just environmentally but across everything we do, including our ESG performance. We offer complete transparency when it comes to diversity, equality, carbon emissions and sustainability and behave ethically and professionally at all times.

Our approach to ESG

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) are not only core beliefs of Trustgreen but are central pillars to our business. CSR is a form of self-regulation in business which looks to contribute to society via ethical practices – it is akin to a company’s conscience. ESG can be summed up as a set of standards measuring a business’s impact on society, the environment, and how transparent and accountable that business is.

Energy consumption and carbon management

Trustgreen is not only a verified carbon neutral organisation, but we are actively working with the companies within our supply chains to assist them with their journeys too.Pollution Control – All of our activities have control measures in place that minimise the risk of pollution. To date we have had zero environmental incidents on any of our sites or those of our clients.

Waste management

We are currently a paper-light organisation with aspirations to become paperless as soon as possible. Where feasible onsite waste arising from our operations are repurposed such as creating log piles from fallen trees. The waste hierarchy is meticulously adhered to with superfluous equipment being donated to dedicate organisations with all sites working towards the goal of zero to landfill.

Modern slavery and human rights

Trustgreen actively look to prevent abuse in our supply chain through reviews and PQQs, and a healthy dialogue that communicates our expectations to our partners.

Trustgreen employs more females than males across our business with our senior management team made up of a 66% female to 33% male split.

Gender pay gap

Although we are not yet required to publish our gender pay gap figures Trustgreen are happy to report that there is no gender pay gap in our organisation. Something we are very proud of.

Industry-leading health and safety practices

We have robust measures and training in place to minimise the likelihood of accidents and incidents occurring in our workplaces and the sites we care for.

Community Engagement

We are very proud of our community engagement programme that looks to blend community growth with an appreciation of the green spaces on people’s doorsteps including an itinerary of events, utilising community champions and the promotion of local employment in our supply chain. We have been recognised for these endeavours with a Green Apple award.

Accurate reporting to stakeholders

This includes financial performance, business strategy and operational conduct as measures against key performance indicators.

Business leaders and managers are accountable and responsible for risk and performance management.

Regular stakeholder reports linked to targets on all of the above are regularly produced and verified to ensure continual improvement.

Meet our community champion

Our community champion makes a difference at a grassroots level, and these small differences show other community members that they can collaborate and make a difference too. There are many ways in which community cohesion and harmony can be achieved and our community champion helps to promote positive partnerships, finding and developing community assets and connecting them to resources.
