On Wednesday 11th September we held our annual Charity Golf Day at Carden Park Hotel, Golf Resort and Spa. We raised over £8,300 for DuchenneUK through team sign ups, hole sponsorships, raffle prizes, and games & challenges on the day.
DuchenneUK are doing incredible work to help lead the fight against duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) a life-limiting genetic disorder characterised by progressive muscle degeneration and weakness. The generous donations received on the day will go a long way to supporting this great cause.
The golf day began with breakfast followed by a Biodiversity Net Gain presentation delivered by Richard Thomas, Group ESG Director and Finley Wisdom, BNG & Habitat Ecologist. They discussed what BNG is, including all about site selection and habitat damage during construction.
Following the presentation, the teams headed out on to the course to play 18 holes of golf. The Trustgreen team were on the course, helping to serve refreshments and hosting games and challenges on the tees. We concluded the day with a BBQ dinner, prize giving and a raffle including a signed Manchester United football shirt, a Dyson v15 cordless vacuum, a Carluccios food hamper and a range of other wonderful prizes!
The winning team from Persimmon captained by Chris Prescott prevailed with a score of 14 under par.
A big thank you to everyone who supported us – from donating raffle prizes and sponsoring holes, to the generous donations on the day!
