Trustgreen has won a Green World Award in the global campaign to find the world’s greenest countries, companies, and communities. They competed against more than 500 other nominations in the Green World Awards and were announced as winners in January 2024.

Trustgreen will be presented with the trophy and certificate at a glittering presentation ceremony in Sao Paolo, Brazil on the March 25th, 2024. Trustgreen were initially recognised with an International CSR Award in June 2023 for their commitment to social responsibility.

The judges commented:

“The introduction of the Community Champion role aimed to enhance connections between communities for improved social coordination. The Community Champion based in Warwickshire, fosters community well-being through collaborative activities. The work centres around building a nature-rooted, thriving community with a strong emphasis on green spaces and connection.”

Following this award, Trustgreen’s winning paper progressed to the next round, representing the UK in the CSR Sector of the Green World Awards, and were announced as a winner in January 2024.

The awards are organised by The Green Organisation – an international, independent, non-political, non-profit environment group dedicated to recognising, rewarding, and promoting environmental best practices around the world. The Green Organisation is planting trees to offset the carbon footprint created by those attending the awards in March.

Karl Tullett, Director at The Green Organisation shared the good news:

“From becoming a CSR World Leader in 2023, your entry project “Community Champion Rooted in Nature” has won in the Property & Estate Management / Corporate Citizenship category in the Green World Awards 2024. Congratulations.”

Trustgreen’s winning paper will be published in The Green Book, the leading international work of reference on best practice so that others around the world can follow their example and learn from their achievement.

Richard Thomas, Group ESG Director said:

“I was genuinely blown away when I received the news that we had won a Green World Award from The Green Organisation.

“Respecting the environment is one of Trustgreen’s core values which drives our year-on-year continual improvement, so it’s wonderful to have this validated and our progression marked in this way – from Silver Award Status in 2022, to Gold in 2023 and now the World Award in 2024, coupled with our recently awarded CSR World Leader status. This further demonstrates that our ethos of ‘Doing the right thing’ is at the heart of everything that we do.

“Every one of my colleagues cares deeply about the environment and we are committed to maintaining, managing, and monitoring our open spaces in such a way that they are not only measurably enhanced but become conduits for community growth, and I hope they are all as equally as proud as I am with this achievement.

“But this is not the end of our journey, rather confirmation that we are on the right track. With mandatory Biodiversity Net Gain coming into force in England in February, Trustgreen will work tirelessly to ensure that all can benefit from and engage with the natural world.”
