Richard Thomas and Louise Butterfield attended the Harper Adams University Career Fair 2022. They got the chance to discuss career opportunities with students from all year groups including first years looking for work experience, those seeking a placement year, and also final years looking for graduate opportunities.

From Ecology and Estates Management to Legal, Finance and Customer Care – we offer a range of career opportunities here at Trustgreen. Trustgreen has been guided by our key principle of ‘Doing the right thing’ since the day it we were founded. This extends to all areas of our business – especially when it comes to our people.

Each member of our team bring a wealth of experience from a variety of backgrounds, all sharing one thing in common – a passion for the natural environment. We want to continue to cultivate a culture where our people feel their contribution matters and is noticed, that is why we are committed to employing graduates, apprentices and offer a placement programme.

What our people have to say

Collaboration and teamwork are part of Trustgreen culture. Everyone in the team is always happy to get involved and help and recognise that if we work together, the more we get done.

The way I manage has been influenced by my line manager. He has been a mentor and role model and I try to model that as I really respect the way he works and want to do really well for them and to be proud of me.

We are all one big team – like a family – and we all play a role and we are proud of the work we do to support our clients in delivering sustainable great areas which enriches the local environment and help to build communities in new build estates.

I always feel supported, my manager is available when needed and nothing is ever a problem; if we make a mistake, we work through it; you are not afraid to own it; – I don’t ever feel there is criticism, ever. That’s really important because you build your confidence and capability.

We take the approach of Richard Branson in that we want to train people well enough so they can move on, yet treat them well so they want to stay.

We’re always looking for passionate and talented individuals to join our growing team, if you’re interested in a career that’s rooted in nature, visit our careers page.
