We are delighted to have won our second Green Apple Award for helping the environment. We competed against more than 500 other nominations in the International Green Apple Awards, and we’ll be presented with a trophy and certificate at a glittering presentation ceremony in the Houses of Parliament, London, on November 20th.
As a result of this International Green Apple Award success, we have been invited to accept Green World Ambassador status and have our winning paper published in The Green Book (the leading international work of reference on environmental best practice) so that others around the world can follow our lead and learn from our achievement.
This will also entitle us to represent our country in the Green World Environment Awards that are held in a different country every year.
The Green Apple Awards are run by The Green Organisation – an international, independent, non-profit, non-political environment group that was founded in 1994 to recognise, reward and promote environmental best practice around the world.
Richard Thomas, Group ESG Director said: “Receiving our second International Green Apple award for helping to grow communities via interaction with the open spaces on their doorstep is not only a wonderful achievement in itself but demonstrates that our culture of doing the right thing is intertwined with the service that we provide every day. I could not be prouder of our organisation and the wonderful people in it.”
