Join us for our Charity Golf Day 2023

We look forward to welcoming you to the MacDonald Portal Hotel, Golf & Spa course for a great day of golf and hospitality on Thursday 28th September.

The Macdonald Portal courses are set to some of the most impressive backdrops in the country and offer challenges for golfers of all abilities. The Championship Course, where you’ll be playing on the day, meanders through rolling parkland testing golfers with play around mature trees and beautiful water features to tournament style USGA greens all with stunning views over the Cheshire countryside.

If you don’t have much experience on the course, we are delighted to offer the option of golf lessons. You’ll join the golf pro, learning as you go. The course will be setup with fun challenges to help you improve and hone your skills!

We’ll also be hosting an interactive Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) workshop that will provide an overview of BNG as the mandated implementation date draws closer. There will be discussion on the opportunities to engage with communities and the habitats on their doorstep, and how a wide lens should be used to maximise the benefits whilst avoiding the pitfalls.

I wanted to drop a note and say thank you for the invite to the golf day. I really enjoyed it and everyone made me feel so welcome. It was so refreshing to attend an event that was not weighted heavily to the normal male environment we operate in. Not sure my desire to take up golf is any greater than it was but I certainly enjoyed my self and would not hesitate to attend similar events. It as also inspired me to challenge the events we are organising internally to see if we can adapt them to be more inclusive in the future.
