The Role
As In-House Legal Counsel, you will play a key role within a busy and growing Legal Department, supporting day-to-day legal operations and the wider business needs.
Working closely with our Head of Legal, you will support a broad range of property, commercial and operational matters.
A typical workday may include drafting, reviewing and negotiating legal documents; liaising with clients and external stakeholders; supporting our in-house Sales and Purchase team; advising internal colleagues; and helping to identify, assess and mitigate legal risk.
This is a varied and hands-on role, offering the opportunity to broaden your in-house experience in a supportive, fast-paced and commercially focused environment.
The Person
We are looking for a motivated and commercially minded legal professional with a minimum of a law degree (or equivalent) and previous experience working within a legal team.
The successful candidate will have a strong grounding in legal principles, be proactive, organised and detail-focused, with the ability to prioritise competing demands and deliver practical, solutions-focused legal support.
As this is an in-house role, you will need to be comfortable working closely with non-legal colleagues, understanding commercial priorities, and providing clear, pragmatic advice. You should be confident working both independently and collaboratively, with the ability to take ownership of matters and support the wider Legal Department.
A genuine interest in the environment, sustainability and doing the right thing is very important to us, along with enthusiasm to continue learning and developing in a fast-paced, growing business.
Experience in property law, the housebuilding sector, or a green services environment, would be advantageous but is not essential.
