About South Cheshire CLASP

South Cheshire CLASP has been supporting lone parent families since 1997, obtaining charity status in 2002. Their dedicated team of staff and volunteers work with over 150 families a year.

CLASP’s aim is to reach out and support members of the local community navigating the challenges of parenting alone, regardless of their circumstances. The organisation offers compassionate support and encouragement to help families transition from crisis to wholeness, fostering a positive future for everyone involved.

Trustgreen is proud to be supporting South Cheshire CLASP and helping to advocate for their crucial work. Throughout 2025, Trustgreen aim to raise awareness and much-needed funds for South Cheshire CLASP. This will involve various fundraising initiatives, and events to engage employees, clients, and the wider community in supporting this incredible cause.

How CLASP Supports Lone Parent Families

For children, CLASP’s programs provide engaging activities such as games, crafts, group events, and model building, along with confidential listening services. These activities are designed to encourage children to express their thoughts, build confidence, and enhance emotional well-being while making friends and having plenty of fun.

For parents, CLASP’s short courses are tailored for lone parents. These courses focus on building emotional resilience, boosting confidence and self-esteem, exploring relationships, and sharing parenting skills. Additionally, informal “coffee and chat” sessions offer lone parents an opportunity to share experiences, relax, and connect with others in similar situations.

Young people can access personalised support through counselling or mentoring after completing a Young Person’s assessment with experienced counsellors. This assessment helps determine the most suitable form of support for each individual.
